Thank you so much for a fantastic interactive session which brought the Great Fire of London to life. It was engaging and entertaining for the children and adults alike. On the way back to class one child said that, “This is the best day ever" and another added, “That was so funny. I couldn't stop laughing.” The children came out of the hall buzzing and have been talking about it all day. They also learned lots of facts which will really help their understanding and our future learning about the Great Fire. We had an amazing visit from Eddie the Explorer to launch our new learning enquiry 'What do other countries look like compared to ours?’ He provided the children with a hook to capture their imaginations and experience of what it would be like to be a real explorer!

It was wonderful to welcome Harry and his 'Cadcharacters' back again to our school this year. He has made our history curriculum shine every time he appears as fantastic historical visitors. Each character is exciting, intriguing and delighting in equal measure. Our children absolutely love his visits and often talk of the memorable appearances he has made. He makes a huge effort to involve everyone in the show so that every child feels that they have had a part in the performance. The children were completely engaged for the whole time. Harry's 'Charles Darwin' session was very child-friendly and he explained quite complex ideas to our mixed YR/Y1 class in an interactive way using acting, song and dance. Another fantastic session with Cadcharacters! Harry really does his research and our meeting with Bert links brilliantly with our learning journey about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. My class were completely captivated and delighted in taking on different roles in the story and dressing up. We will remember our visit from a Crimean War soldier for long time.

The children had an amazing afternoon listening to Henry Wakefield talk about his friend Brunel. All the children were fully engaged throughout the session and readily volunteered to role play the life and times of Brunel. The session was informative, educational and very accessible for my Year 2 class. The children were able to draw upon their previous learning as well as learning more along the way. Harry was fantastic, from the moment he came in, he was straight
into character, engaging all of the children with his introductory
session. It was wonderful to see how happy and focussed they were
whilst in such a fun environment. We then returned for our class
session with Professor Jones, who helped us to learn more about a
dinosaur's diet and habitat through the interactive retelling of a
story, where all children were involved. We were so lucky to have
